Welcoming Dr. Meghan Abbott, DVM

We’re pawsitively thrilled to share some exciting news! Oaks Veterinary Hospital is welcoming Dr. Meghan Abbott, DVM, along with a brand new staff to offer you enhanced veterinary care and personalized services for your furry family members. With a focus on compassionate, state-of-the-art treatment, we’re committed to ensuring your pets receive the best patient care possible and our clients receive outstanding client service!

Dr. Meghan Abbott graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. With a lifelong love of horses, Dr. Abbott went into equine medicine after graduation but shortly after made the switch to small animal general practice. It was then that Dr. Abbott was able to really hone in on surgical cases, dentistry, and in-depth medical cases which allowed her to find her spot in veterinary medicine. One of Dr. Abbott’s favorite parts of veterinary medicine is the bonds that she develops with her clients both two and four-legged. Client, staff, and veterinary student education is a top priority for her. When Dr. Abbott is not practicing veterinary medicine, she spends time with her husband—usually dragging him to horse shows where she events her off-the-track thoroughbreds. She also loves a good day hanging out with her four dogs and four cats on their family farm.
