Bella is our pure pred yellow lab. She was a birthday present to me from my husband. Bella is 6 years old. She loves to ride in my husband's truck and she loves the beach. There is a picture of her with our grandchildren at the beach. Last Father's day I gave my husband a rescue dog, he named her Maggie May. She keeps Bella young. They love to play together. Bella had knee surgery last year and there are some pictures of her wearing her cone. She was not happy wearing that cone. She loves to dress up for holidays and there are also pictures of her at Christmas and Halloween. Now she has competition from Maggie in dressing up. Bella is crate trained and a wonderful house pet. She loves her walks and spending time with us. Bella's full name is Isabella "DIVA" Parker and she lives up to the Diva name very well. She is a real spoiled Diva Dog.

Baxter is a fun loving Westie that enjoys relaxing with his family at home. His sister, Maxine the cat, gets much of his attention as he chases her around the house until she gives up and jumps to a height that he can not reach her. He also enjoys long afternoon naps in the sunshine, playing fetch with his ball and chasing the squirrels around the pool. Baxter enjoys road trips to Starbucks, his friends house, and of course to visit Oaks Veterinary Hospital staff.

saying: The gift that keeps on giving. A master of facial expressions, he is still a pup
at the age of 3. He actively plays with people and fur friends of all ages. His favorite
games with my grandchildren are; Tag and Fetch. He always manages to wear them out
for great nap times for all. His favorite toys are balls, sticks, and Frisbees. His best fur
friends are Bailey, Joe, and Fred. He grew up in Gainesville and loves to still visit the
dog parks and walk the trails there, now he is living on the farm in Citra with an instant
dog park as soon as he steps outside the house. His love for family and friends knows no
bounds. When visiting Oak Vets, he greets Mandy and Tish by standing up at the counter
to say “HI”. Though we have full days every day of work and games, I would have to say
that my favorite time is when he sleeps at my side and I can watch him relive the events
of the day in his puppy dreams. A special thanks to everyone at Oaks for helping me keep

In our series of dachshunds we have owned, Duffer (age 2) is our
first long-haired one. He is very quiet and laid back and enjoys

Charlie Marwede is a 3 ½ year old female black Lab who is super energetic. She has been in our family since she was five weeks old. She loves to chase squirrels, birds, opossums, armadillos and sometimes other dogs. She is very affectionate, especially with the grandchildren. Her favorite toys are a Frisbee and a large rope, mostly because she has destroyed every other toy she’s been given. Charlie spends more than two hours a day walking and running on trails while showing her mischievous personality and tractable nature. She is a wonderful pet and an important member of our family. Dougal is the most "laid back" employee of Spain & Cooper Construction. He greets everyone who comes to the office and has occasionally been caught sleeping on the job. Dougal is a graduate of the Alachua County Humane Society's "Beyond Basic Obedience Training" program. His favorite things to do are chase lizards, eat anything and lick his human friends while being pampered. Dougal if a pure-bred Norfolk Terrier and is nine years old. His birthday is the same as his brother, Murphy, November 20th.
Murphy is the youngest employee of Spain & Cooper Construction. He pitches in by taking out the trash (or eating it!) and walks his mother three times a day. Murphy is extremely innovating. He comes up with creative was to jump on tables and chairs. Murphy has an associate degree in general mischief. Murphy likes to pester his brother Dougal every chance he gets, digs holes in hope of finding China and eating things he's not supposed to. Murphy is Dougal's nephew. His father is an international champion from Germany. Murphy is two years younger than Dougal.

Eeyore is a 5 year old Border Collie-Corgi mix, adopted from Helping Hands Pet Rescue. Phoebe is a 2.5 year old Chihuahua mix, adopted from Oaks Vet. The two get along famously, but have very different interests. Eeyore's favorite pass time is fetch and catch. If you say the word "ball" he will bring you the first one he can find. Phoebe prefers to snuggle on the couch to watch TV with the family. Together, they love to play tug with one another, go on walks, and come to Oaks Vet for their baths.

Bart is an almost five year old domestic short hair orange and white tabby cat who was adopted by Nora Kilroy in December of 2006. Bart is a sweet and rambunctious kitty who loves to be with people. Bart will greet you at the door, meow at you, follow you room to room, and lean on you to get a pet. Oaks Veterinary Hospital would like to congratulate Prince Hughes, our newest Pet of the Month. Prince is a six-year-old Pomeranian with an attitude! He loves to spend his time napping and stretching. When he does get a burst of energy, he likes to wrestle with rawhide bones, rolled socks and empty water bottles. Dogs, cats, kids and very busy parents keep the Kverneland family happy and full of love. This month's two special pets are Zack, a 13 year old Miniature Schnauzer, and his pal Ruby, a lively young Australian Shepherd. Although Zack is older and smaller, he commands Ruby's respect. Zack has survived several serious medical problems, and is currently in very good health. As in many families, a younger addition perks up a senior pet, and we hope Zack continues happily for many more years.

Athena, Hamlet, and Venus are the pride and joy of the Wright Family and always a pleasure to care for here at Oaks! Athena, the "Princess", is a lovely black lab mix who rules the group. Hamlet, or "Little Man", is a fun loving Welsh Corgi. The third member of the clan is Venus, aka "Moose Puppy" - an energetic yellow lab.
They all love to play ball, but have their own styles. Athena is adept at catching balls, but will not return them. Hamlet and Venus will fetch and return with great enthusiasm! Venus loves tug-of-war with her rope toy, and when she wags her tail, her whole body follows.

Meet Doxie and Stogie Borganelli, two special Dachshunds who love life. They are very energetic despite being seniors. Doxie enjoys chasing balls - his favorite is a big tennis ball. Stogie prefers to play with his stuffed animal pets. Doxie really enjoys beef flavored treats. Stogie will eat everything, and will actually bark at the refrigerator when he wants a snack.
Our Oaks family and the Borganelli Family enjoyed their trio of Dachshunds for many years, and were very sad to say good-bye last year to Sport, the eldest of the three. Thankfully, Doxie and Stogie are full of life, and enjoy their daily lives and their visits to Oaks!

Phoebe is a lovable 5-1/2 month old Boxer puppy. Her favorite activities include playing with her 3 human siblings, running in the backyard and chewing on her pink squeaky toy. I am a tri-color Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who just turned 9 a couple of weeks ago. I love to spend my time with my sister Sophie (the other pretty face in the picture), running around the back yard, sleeping and eating. Summer is my favorite time of year because Sophie and I get to spend time with our cousing Bella (also an Oaks client) in the North Carolina mountains.
There are a lot of chipmunks, squirrels and rabbits to chase there. I LOVE my family especially all of the little girls, Reece, Katie Grace and Brittney. I love th snuggle with them while they study or watch TV.
I also love seeing my Oaks Vet family! They take very good care of me, keep my teeth clean and my fur shiny. They also sell my mom that yummy Hill's I.D. food! I can't wait to go in for my Pet of the Month Bath! Go Gators!
